The last of our live-on-location interviews at the National Urban Ministry Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas, we sit down with leaders from South Walker Church of Christ in Oklahoma City. When its neighborhood changed—English speakers moving out and Spanish speakers moving in—the congregation made the choice to stay and love its new neighbors. Surprising things happened.
What started as what often get called “evangelism” or “outreach” transformed how members of South Walker Church of Christ imagine the kingdom of God and their place (and work) in it.
Note: BT Irwin forgot to turn on the four mics, so only the built-in computer mic picked up the sound. Please forgive us for a few places where the guests are a little harder to hear.
